What is Supervision?
Supervision is a process used by a number of practitioners to guide and support their work. It usually involves working with somebody who has similar or more experience as well as the ability to take a dispassionate view of another person’s work. It has typically been used in ‘the caring professions’ in areas such as social care and counselling. However, it is increasingly being seen by a wider range of practitioners as a supportive process that can provide them with a place to test out the effectiveness of their work.

xué’s approach to Supervision
There are a wide range of different models of supervision. xué’s belief is that every individual and supervisory conversation is unique and that there is no one ‘right model’. As a result our supervisors are trained and accredited to use an integrative and collaborative model of supervision that uses the ‘appropriate’ approach for the ‘appropriate’ circumstance. We are happy to supervise on a 1:1 basis or with a group. We are also able to offer training in supervision.
