Sue Winton
Sue’s background is as a Primary Head Teacher, and Business and Personal coach. She is a member of the xué coaching team.
She has over 30 years of working with schools at both primary and secondary level. She has been a successful school leader and a head of service in Children and Young Peoples Services for workforce development.
Sue has worked in social care delivering a leadership and development programme, including individual coaching sessions for team managers, service managers and heads of service.
- Change Management experience: accredited facilitator/trainer with the National Remodelling Team (NRT), The Training and Development Agency (TDA) and The East Midlands Leadership Centre (EMLC) delivering workshops, facilitating local and regional events within multi agency teams for all schools across Nottinghamshire and many across the East Midlands since 2004
- Coaching experience: an accredited coach working individually with senior leaders, managers and head teachers; team and group coaching, including young people; multi disciplined perspective influenced by appreciative enquiry, solution focused dialogue, underpinned by psychological models and approaches
- Leadership: skilled in bringing diverse groups together for a common purpose; project managed the set up of 43 multi agency early intervention teams linked to all primary, secondary and special schools; worked with school improvement advisers leading on improvement planning, monitoring and evaluation frameworks and continuous professional development (CPD) arrangements for all staff in schools
Sue holds a BEd with a distinction in practical teaching, a Diploma in Educational Management and a Certificate at Masters level in Personal and Business coaching. She is also a Licentiate member of the National Council of Psychotherapists (NCP) and is an NCP Accredited supervisor.
Sue is committed to personal growth and reinforces this xué value in all she does. She believes that helping others unlock their potential is the essence to supporting well being and living life in all its fullness.
