Gwen Cavill

Gwen works primarily with schools, local authorities and public sector organisations, supporting them in the development of the skills necessary for continuous improvement. Using highly developed facilitation skills and methods, she works at an individual level as a coach of leaders, enabling them to reflect on and improve on their own and others performance, as well as with teams and organisational groups. Her work focuses on leadership development and performance, coaching and mentoring, training trainers in the development of high quality facilitation skills as well as strategic leadership and                                                                       governance.

In addition she devises coaching programmes for leaders and facilitators of learning programmes as well as those involved in building capacity in organisations. These programmes focus on the skills needed to coach effectively and help leaders understand the full range of coaching styles and the impact they have in particular situations.

• National experience: Gwen works with national organisations including NCSL, TDA and Aspect working on change management and its key importance in the shifting of culture to meet future demands in education
• Coaching experience: in a variety of contexts offering 1:1 experiences, peer and team coaching as well as supporting organisations in the development and implementation of a coaching climate to support high performance
• Training and mentoring experience: centres on leadership development for leaders at different levels of an organisation and on the support of leaders in developing their coaching and facilitation skills

Gwen has a Master's degree in education and is trained and accredited as a consultant and a coach facilitator with the National College for School Leadership and the Teacher Development Agency.
