Kisane Prutton

She has 20 years experience in the public and private sectors. She has a background in broadcasting as a television producer/director and has produced documentaries and current affairs series for the BBC, ITV and Channel 4. In addition to her consultancy work, Kisane also holds a guest lectureship role at the Institute of Work, Health and Organisations (University of Nottingham) and designs and delivers mediation skills training for the ADR Group.

• Change Management Experience: Kisane has in depth change management consultancy experience in a range of industries including family businesses, professional services, the health service, the media, manufacturing and safety-critical industries

• HR Experience: Kisane qualified as a workplace psychologist with the former Employment Service (now DWP), latterly as the Senior Head Office Psychologist with joint responsibility for designing national HR procedures and the policy for stress management. Kisane ran and developed the HR department for the Sheffield offices of chartered accountants BDO Stoy Hayward and sat on their national HR committee

• Coaching Experience: Kisane has been coaching board directors and managers for over 10 years. She adopts a multi-disciplinary perspective influenced by Appreciative Inquiry, Cognitive Behavioural Coaching, Dialogue and Solution Focused approaches

• Training Experience: Kisane currently trains amongst others, barristers, lawyers and HR professionals in the psychology of conflict and mediation. Kisane began her experience as a trainer at the Employment Service; here she was involved in designing training interventions and ‘training the trainers’

• Psychometric Experience: Kisane is Level B qualified and makes use of psychometric assessment in coaching, mediation, recruitment selection and management due diligence. She is licensed to use a range of psychometric tests including OPQ32, WAVE, 16PF, SHL ability tests and Sociomaps

• Mediation & Alternative Dispute Resolution Experience: Kisane began resolving shareholder and family business disputes whilst working as an Organisational Consultant for BDO Stoy Hayward. She now practices as a workplace and family mediator and trains trainee mediators

Kisane is a Chartered Psychologist (Occupational; registered with the HPC), Chartered Scientist, accredited mediator (Workplace; Family) and qualified coach. She holds an undergraduate degree in psychology, a postgraduate masters in occupational psychology and is fully qualified in psychometric testing. Kisane is an active member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), the Special Group in Coaching Psychology, the Civil Mediation Council, the Association of Midland Mediators and The Psychometrics Forum. She holds voluntary roles on the BPS’s Media and Press Committee, the Ethics in Broadcasting Committee and the Division of Occupational Psychology Conference Committee.
